The perfect lakeside cabin for a couple. Newly renovated and with all amenities needed to enjoy a relaxing getaway. Beautiful lake & mountain views!

We chose this cabin because of it’s accessibility on public transit from Oslo, no car needed! Train Oslo – Lillehammer – bus transfer w/ stop 400m from the cabin. The cabin is walking distance to the grocery store, local restaurants, and canoe rental (15 min).

We enjoyed all meals on the deck overlooking the lake. It’s very peaceful and quiet.

For those who like to swim, walk straight down to the lake for a dip. I brought aqua shoes, which made getting in and out very easy on the rocky shoreline. There is a small sand beach within 10min walking from the cabin.

Top view mountain hikes just out the doorway. The terrain was not rugged and accessible to most. Good hiking shoes suggested, but we did not need hiking boots for these trails. (Note our stay was in July)

For cyclists, there are many trails to explore.

For winter, cross-country trails prepped for miles.

Communication with Are was prompt and easy. Check-in / out is very smooth w/ key box.

For an easy getaway from Oslo, I highly suggest this cabin.
